Есть люди которые могут стоять на месте. Есть люди которым сложно устоять на месте. Есть люди которые не могут устоять на месте и при этом еще и притоптывают. А эти - совсем маньяки, барабанят, притоптывают, танцуют и сразу всей толпой. Эти заводные ребята - шоу-группа Стомп (Stomp).

Cемь лет назад в головы двум простым уличным танцорам - Люку Крессуэллу и Стиву НакНиколасу, пришла идея: из любых подручных средств (будь то крышка мусорного бака, сам мусорный бак, пустая ржавая бочка, чай (!), яблоки (!!), сломанные ванны и унитазы, швабры-метелки, носки) создать ритм. И чтобы выбивал его не один человек. И даже не два. А десять, двадцать, тридцать... И сделать так, чтобы все шумы сливались воедино. И получалась музыка.

Идея нашла отклик у многих, кто сейчас играет в труппе. Каждый из этих людей играет свою главную роль. И играет ее просто потрясающе. Хотя по-настоящему профессиональных актеров в "Stomp" нет. Есть гениальнейшие танцоры, которые обладают совершенно невероятным чувством ритма. И, безусловно, отменным чувством юмора: в одной из сцен участники "Stomp" начинают выстукивать ритм, шурша карточными колодами, швыркая чаем, грызя яблоки и стуча гранеными стаканами по столу одновременно!

Я убеждена, что сам по себе жанр сингер-сонграйтер вполне заслуживает если не любви, то уважения точно. Ведь попробуй еще сам придумай, напиши, сыграй, спой да еще и так, что бы всем понравилось. Но сейчас ограничиваться уважением ни в коем случае нельзя, стоит послушать и порадоваться - в песнях совсем нет пессимизма, все очень жизнерадостно, местами немного грустно, но легко, ненавязчиво и по-светлому. Музыка вполне по сезону, если можно так сказать, и достойна прослушивания.
